The holidays are a poignant time of year for all of us who knew and loved Emerson. It’s a season when the weight of her loss feels even more profound, and we find ourselves reflecting on what could have been—and what should have been. Yet, this time also brings with it a renewed sense of gratitude and hope.
This Thanksgiving, we are not only thankful for each of you, but also filled with immense pride. We are proud of what we, as a Foundation, have been able to give back to so many children and families who, simply put, deserve so much more.
For those of you who couldn’t attend Smash Bash in October, we shared a powerful video that highlights the impact our Radiation Calendar program has had on hundreds of children we’ve served over the years. It was the first time we’ve heard directly from families and providers about the difference we’re making with this program. We wanted to share this video with you first, as a token of our gratitude and to affirm just how much your generosity means to these children. Please take a moment to absorb their words, their smiles, and feel proud that you’ve helped make this all possible.
Finally, as a small gesture of thanks this holiday season, we’re excited to announce a special giveaway. Anyone who made a donation this year will be entered into a random drawing to win one-of-a-kind artwork, hand-painted and designed by a child with cancer who received a Radiation Calendar in 2024. We’ll be announcing the winners after GivingTuesday.
